We condemn the awful attack outside the Finsbury Mosque in London. The terrorist had two evil motives: to kill as many people as possible, and to sow conflict in London. Nottingham City Council’s Councillor Jon Collins said: “The horrific attack last night was an act of terrorism which deliberately targeted the Muslim community. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of all those affected. We cannot and will not let crimes of hate like the attack last night and elsewhere in London and in Manchester over the last few weeks divide our communities.”
The 3.5 million British Muslims are not just hardworking citizens but loyal Brits, ever ready to stand up for their great country. Let those terrorists who long to see conflict in our country know that we will not be divided. The events organised by faith and civic organisations all over the country are a testament of a tolerant, united and dynamic nation that cannot be cowered by extremists and terrorists.
